Licensing Expo Debuts Baby Abuelita's Expansion into Bedding and Home Products
Baby Abuelita characters expand their reach as icons of Hispanic heritage and culture.
MIAMI, FL, May 9, 2008 – Riding on the wave of rapid growth and popularity, Baby Abuelita Productions will showcase its new line of infant and toddler bedding, linens and related home products at the New York City Licensing Expo June 10-12, 2008 in the Jacob Javits Center. Working with Miami based distributor, J.R. United, a leader in the field of home and apparel textile industry, the Baby Abuelita line will feature their signature grandparent characters and include themes from their traditional songs.
This expansion follows the Toy Fair's sneak preview of Baby Abuelita's first in a series of animated DVDs for the Hispanic children's market. The Baby Abuelita Family Fiesta DVD, set to launch in September during Hispanic Heritage month, is the most recent installment of award-winning Baby Abuelita products that preserve Hispanic heritage by teaching children traditional songs, dances, folklore and language. The original Baby Abuelita collection featured two dolls: Abuelita Rosa, Abuelito Pancho, warm and cuddly grandparent dolls that sing traditional Spanish language lullabies and nursery rhymes. The family has since grown with the addition of three dolls, each with their own unique repertoire of music.
